ELOSPLUS TREATMENTS

The new Syneron Elos Plus is the ultimate multi-application platform, combining numerous cutting edge treatments. Utilizing Syneron’s elos technology, which combines optical energy and bipolar radiofrequency (RF), the Elos Plus is the next-generation aesthetic device that has been designed to treat all skin types safely and effectively.

Elos Plus incorporates Elos, the world’s first and only technology that incorporates both bipolar RF and optical energy (either laser or pulsed light). The combination of these two types of energy allows for better total energy delivery into the skin, with the ability to utilize lower levels of both optical and RF energy. Less optical energy, when synergistically combined with bipolar RF, improves safety for all skin types.

The Elos Plus is considered a ‘platform’ that integrates a number of different treatments. These treatments include:

  • Sublative Skin Rejuvenation

    $700 Full Face/$500 Neck

The Elos Plus can deliver Radiofrequency (RF) treatments that are considered the ‘next-generation’ in resurfacing. Unlike with many resurfacing lasers, Radiofrequency can be used in ALL skin types. These treatments are effective for rejuvenation, wrinkle reduction, and acne scar treatment. The Elos Plus provides advances over the previous eMatrix device.

  • Sublime Skin Contouring

    $450/Lower Face

The Sublime treatment combines infrared light and Radiofrequency (RF) energies to remodel the skin’s dermal layer by stimulating new collagen production.

  • IPL Facial

    $350 Face/$250 Hands/$500 Chest

Elos Plus combines Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) with RF which creates more specific heating of targets in the skin (blood vessels, redness, and brown spots). This allows the use of less optical energy, which increases treatment safety in even darker skin types.

  • PCA Skincare® Custom Peels & Masks

    $130-$160

PCA SKIN® professional treatments are radically different and remarkably effective. Advanced ingredients are carefully blended to work synergistically to remove dull, damaged surface layers without the downtime often associated with chemical peels. PCA SKIN's philosophy is that skin rejuvenation should be done progressively, not aggressively. PCA SKIN treatments are beneficial for such troublesome conditions, as:

    Sun damage
    Hyperpigmentation (post-inflammtory, hormonal, all ethnicities)
    Oily/Acneic
    Aging
    Uneven tone and texture
    Laxity
    Sensitive Skin/Rosacea
    Dehydrated Skin
    Pseudofolliculitis (ingrown hairs)
  • MICRODERMABRASION

    $130/add on $70

Microdermabrasion is a non-surgical procedure that forces the regeneration of new skin while simultaneously stimulating production of healthy cells, collagen and elastin. Treatment of the entire face takes place with no discomfort and is described as a light suction with very minimal side effects. Perfect for that special event or date night.

Body Contouring

NEW! Velashape III

What is VelaShape?

VelaShape© is The Optimal Body Contouring Device! VelaShape is the only FDA cleared device that effectively and safely contours, shapes and slims the body by reducing cellulite and body circumference all while firming problem areas in as little as 4 treatments.

How does it work?

The secret behind VelaShape© is elos© - the first and only technology that combines powerful energies to reduce the volume and appearance of fat tissues. With this unique approach, we are able to treat such areas as the abdomen, buttocks, thighs, arms, knees, and back. 80% of all women over the age 20 have cellulite, regardless of size or shape. Cellulite occurs when fat cell in the deepest layer of skin become over-inflated from an increase in fat storage. The fat cells protrude up though the tissue causing dimpling or a cottage cheese appearance. VelaShape© is the only FDA cleared treatment that safely delivers heat into the fatty tissue to reduce cellulite and firm problem areas. VelaShape© is the perfect, non-surgical answer for treating those "problem areas" that cause women and men to feel so displeased about their body image.

How much does it cost?

Cosmetic Injections

BOTOX® Cosmetic

It would be wonderful if we could have young looking skin all of our lives, but elements such as the wind and sunlight, coupled with the natural process of aging, take a toll on our bodies--especially our face. As we get older, our once youthful expressions begin to create permanent creases and wrinkles in our brow and between our eyes, making us look older than we actually are.

What is Botox?

Botox is purified proteins used to temporarily relax the wrinkle-causing muscles of the forehead, around the corners of the eyes (crow’s feet), between the eyebrows as well as many other areas of the face and body. The results can last up to six months making Botox world famous for its immediate and efficacious effects in preventative anti-aging.

What does it do?

This purified protein blocks the nerve impulses to muscles causing them to refrain from contracting. Botox injections are given in extremely small doses by a licensed physician and are injected directly into the specific muscles that lead to these lines. These isolated muscles are treated and can no longer contract. Botox is the only treatment of its type that is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Is Botox Cosmetic Right For You?

Botox Cosmetic is the most popular non-surgical cosmetic treatment for facial wrinkles, frown lines & wrinkle reduction. Botox Cosmetic allows people to look and feel younger without the risk or cost of traditional plastic surgery. We offer FREE Botox Cosmetic consultations to ensure we get to know you and figure out how we can help suit your cosmetic needs.

What to Expect

No anesthesia is required; discomfort is usually brief and minimal. Your Medical professional treatment provider will administer a few tiny injections of BOTOX directly into the muscles that cause those moderate-to-severe lines. The full treatment time last between 10-20 minutes. There is no downtime following the procedure.

JUVÉDERM®

What is JUVÉDERM®?

JUVÉDERM® is the smooth gel filler which is used to instantly smooth away wrinkles on the face and fill in areas where youthful contour has been lost.  There are currently 5 different types of JUVÉDERM® on the market ~ but not to worry ~ our trained physician will help you choose which Juviderm product is right for you.

How is JUVÉDERM® made?

JUVÉDERM® is manufactured using HYLACROSS technology, which creates a smooth-consistency gel.  Some types contains some lidocaine, which improves comfort during treatment.

How does JUVÉDERM® work?

Youthful skin contains an abundance of a naturally–occurring hydrating substance called hyaluronic acid (HA), which is the same in all species. But as we age, sunlight and other factors contribute to reducing the quantity of HA in our skin. This lack of HA causes our skin to lose structure and volume, creating facial wrinkles and folds—like the parentheses around the nose and mouth.

Using a dermal filler like JUVÉDERM® is a safe and effective way to replace the lost HA in the skin, bringing back its volume and smoothing away facial wrinkles and folds.

How is the treatment done?

Generally a topical anesthetic is applied prior to treatment, which allows for minimal to no discomfort. Ice may be applied during the injection session as well to minimize any swelling that might occur. A series of injections is done using a very fine needle, and the results are visible right away. The injections take 15 to 30 minutes to perform, and are done only by the physician in our office.

What can I expect after treatment with JUVÉDERM®?

The results are seen immediately after the injections are completed. Because HA absorbs water, small areas of puffiness or fullness often appear in the several hours after treatment, and they are usually only palpable, not visible. These disappear rapidly and are usually gone within a few hours or by the next morning. Sometimes a small bruise can appear at the site, but those disappear quickly as well. Regular makeup can be applied to the face after treatment, and patients can resume their medications (aspirin, etc) right away. The results will last anywhere from 6 months to a year, but it varies from person to person. Supplemental “touch-up” treatments may be required to achieve and maintain optimal correction of your wrinkles and folds.

Types of JUVÉDERM®

Since getting approval for the original formula in 2006 the product line has grown to include five FDA-approved forms of JUVÉDERM®.  If you’re considering Juvéderm® it’s important to discuss all of your options with our experienced medical professional.  Give us a call and schedule a FREE consultation if you would like to know more about the procedure.

JUVÉDERM® Ultra, like all JUVÉDERM® products, is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler that is injected into the skin to smooth the look of fine lines and wrinkles as well as facial folds. It’s the only filler that the FDA has verified can remain effective up to a year, however the average for Ultra is closer to 9 months. It is also the smooth consistency of the formula that makes JUVÉDERM® stand out among the other filler options.

The smoothness and consistency comes from the manufacturing process known as HYLACROSS™ technology. It’s used solely by Allergan to create JUVÉDERM® Ultra and the other JUVÉDERM® products. The result is a viscos formula with 9% hyaluronic acid cross-linking, which greatly effects many aspects of the filler. Patients like the longevity and medical professionals appreciate the predictability of the product as well as its superior flow.

Best uses for JUVÉDERM® Ultra:

Filling moderate wrinkles; smile lines and marionette lines
Contouring
Scar Correction
Moderate lip enhancement

JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC was approved in 2010 for use by the FDA. It’s essentially the same as JUVÉDERM® Ultra, however it includes an extra ingredient. Lidocaine, a local anesthesia, is added to decrease discomfort during injections. Even though there is just 0.3% lidocaine in the formula it makes a significant difference when the procedure takes place.

Best uses for JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC:

Filling moderate wrinkles; smile lines and marionette lines
Contouring
Scar Correction
Moderate lip enhancement

JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus takes it up a notch. It is a thicker, more viscos formula with a cross-linking of 11%. This higher concentration of cross-linking helps JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus last a little longer at around 12 months. While JUVÉDERM® Ultra is injected into the middle of the dermis, JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus goes into the deeper layers of the skin.

Best uses for JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus:

Filling moderate wrinkles; smile lines and marionette lines
Adding more significant volume to lips
Correction of naso-labial folds
Facial shaping

JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus XC essentially the same as JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus, however contains lidocaine to make injections more comfortable.

Best uses for JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus XC:

Filling moderate wrinkles; smile lines and marionette lines
Adding more significant volume to lips
Correction of naso-labial folds
Facial shaping

JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA™ XC is the NEWEST PRODUCT to receive FDA approval. VOLUMA™ XC was developed to address concerns with significant volume loss in the cheeks. It is the first and only filler to be FDA-approved for this purpose. The filler is injected into the deeper layers of the dermis in three areas of the cheek: the apex, apple and hollow. Patients will be happy to know that the results can last up to 2 years.  This particular JUVÉDERM® product is only for patients that are over 21 years old. And you guessed it – JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA™ XC also contains lidocaine for a gentler injection.

SCLEROTHERAPY

What is Sclerotherapy?

Sclerotherapy is a medical procedure used to eliminate varicose veins and spider veins. Sclerotherapy involves an injection of a solution (generally a salt solution) directly into the vein. The solution irritates the lining of the blood vessel, causing it to swell and stick together, and the blood to clot. Over time, the vessel turns into scar tissue that fades from view.

Sclerotherapy is a proven procedure and has been in use since the 1930s.

Who is a Candidate for Sclerotherapy?

Prior to sclerotherapy, you should have an initial consultation with our medical specialist who will decide if you're a good candidate for the procedure.

You are not eligible if you are pregnant. You can have sclerotherapy if you take birth control pills. If you have had a blood clot in the past, your eligibility will be decided on an individual basis, and will depend on the overall health of the area needing treatment as well as the reason for the clot.

How Sclerotherapy is Done?

In most cases of sclerotherapy, the salt solution is injected through a very fine needle directly into the vein. At this point, you may experience mild discomfort and cramping for one to two minutes, especially when larger veins are injected. The procedure itself takes approximately 15 to 30 minutes.

The number of veins injected in one session varies, and depends on the size and location of the veins, as well as the general medical condition of the patient.

What to do Before Sclerotherapy?

Prior to sclerotherapy, you should avoid certain medications. Talk to your doctor about all medicines (including over-the-counter drugs, herbs, and dietary supplements) you are taking. If you need to take an antibiotic before sclerotherapy, contact your doctor. No lotion should be applied to the legs before the procedure.

We recommend avoiding aspirin, ibuprofen (such as Advil, Motrin, and Nuprin) or other anti-inflammatory drugs for 48-72 hours before sclerotherapy. Tylenol, however, should not affect this procedure.

What are the Side Effects of Sclerotherapy?

You may experience certain side effects after sclerotherapy. There are milder effects, such as itching, which can last for one or two days after the procedure. Also, you may experience raised, red areas at the injection site. These should disappear within a few days. Bruising may also occur around the injection side and can last several days or weeks.

Other Rare Side Effects Include:

* Larger veins that have been injected may become lumpy and hard and may require several months to dissolve and fade.
* Brown lines or spots may appear at the vein site. In most cases, they disappear within three to six months, but they may also last indefinitely.
* Neovascularization -- the development of new, tiny blood vessels -- may occur at the site of sclerotherapy treatment. These tiny veins can appear days or weeks after the procedure, but should fade within three to twelve months without further treatment.
